New clients continue care with this provider

Hello, there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina. I have been a social worker for over ten years, and have been working clinically for about three years now. I became fully clinically licensed in 2024 and am in the process of building my own private practice, while continuing to work full time as a School Social Worker. Are you looking for support to help solve a specific issue or problem? Maybe struggling with anxiety, or just the overstimulating stressors of life? Possibly hoping to improve your relationship dynamics or gain support with trust or infidelity? Reaching out for help is brave, but also scary! In sessions, you can expect a non-judgmental and safe space for you to become more self-compassionate, while growing your skills to fix and/or feel better about your current struggles. You are the expert of your own life & we will proceed on the therapy journey at your pace, using empathy & evidenced based techniques along the way. I look forward to meeting you soon!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I will create a safe space for you to explain your current challenges and what you wish to work on in therapy. Telehealth expectations and background information will be touched on as well! From there, I strive to create a comfortable environment where you feel safe to be your true self. Need to vent, laugh it off, cry or curse? I'm here for it! I am a trusted support person that you can confide in without feeling judged, but also as someone who will challenge you and help you grow.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been a Social Worker for 10 years which has allowed me to fine tune my skills of problem solving, motivational interviewing and helping clients identify their strengths and needs. This experience also allows me to provide psychoeducation and resources on various topics with ease.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults who seek therapy to become the best version of themselves. My clients are eager to learn new information and skills and work hard to challenge their current mindset with the goal of feeling and functioning better within themselves and with others.

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

Self-compassion is a core concept that I utilize when working with clients in talk therapy. I strive to help clients accept and acknowledge their feelings, insecurities and worries and work towards becoming less judgmental and more compassionate toward themselves. This concept in return and over time can assist with minimizing anxiety, depression and overthinking.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a core staple that should be utilized in talk therapy. I have utilized CBT when working with clients regarding trauma, anxiety and low self-esteem. I strive to help clients understand that their thoughts and feelings affect their behavior, support them in identifying and challenging their negative thoughts in order to change or minimize unwanted behavior outcomes.

Couples Counseling

I have experience with counseling couples to help them advance their communication skills and styles, as well as supporting them through hardships such as infidelity and trust issues. In addition, I have experience with enhancing couples' conflict resolution skills, as well as building intimacy.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have experience working with clients in order to solve or minimize a specific problem or challenge. Skills I impalement in order to support these clients include strengths and needs assessments, motivational interviewing and future focused goal setting.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a core concept that I utilize with clients in talk therapy. I provide education on mindfulness and assist clients in identifying what mindfulness strategies they can benefit from. Over time, I have seen clients benefits such as reduction in stress and anxiety with the ongoing and consistent use of mindfulness strategies.
