Hi! Do you feel burdened by anxiety or overwhelmed by dark and gloomy thoughts? Do you feel frustrated that you are not as happy as you used to be, less sociable, more alone? Do you feel that life's circumstances have gotten you down, tired, and burnt out? I am an LCSW with over decades of experience working with individuals and families navigating life's journey with chronic illness, grief, anxiety and depression. Sometimes life can be tough and challenging. We may feel stressed, overwhelmed and isolated. Life transitions can be difficult and take effort, dedication and motivation. I specialize in treating self esteem issues, grief, anxiety, depression, post partum depression, caregiver stress, burn out, communication and relationship difficulties. Let's collaborate to identify what's not working so that we can reset, achieve balance and positivity in your life, and maximize day to day functioning. I am here to provide assistance, support and guidance and to remind you that reaching out is a sign of health and strength

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will start with a brief introduction and then address the specific challenges or struggles you are facing. I value the therapeutic alliance as a means to support, increase trust, and comfort in the therapeutic process. I emphasize a collaborative approach to therapy in order to establish mutual respect, and an environment that is safe, positive and genuine.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My areas of strength include empathetic and reflective listening, utilizing a multidimensional approach to therapy, exploring each individuals specific social, emotional and psychological needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am a CBT certified therapist . I use CBT as a compassionate and positive approach to help identify and change negative thought patterns in order to improve emotions and behaviors. CBT techniques include goal setting to help facilitate progress and develop self efficacy as well as cognitive restructuring in order to recognize and reshape negative, inaccurate thoughts and beliefs. Relaxation techniques are used to reduce anxiety and regain control in stressful situations and mindfulness to help avoid destructive or automatic habits by increasing awareness of current experiences without judgement.
