Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the next steps in your life? I am passionate about creating a supportive and affirming space where individuals can explore their experiences, gain insight, and develop meaningful coping strategies. With extensive experience working with individuals, families, and couples across the lifespan—including children, teens, adults, and elders—I help clients navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship concerns. When working with clients experiencing anxiety and depression, I use evidence-based approaches to help them understand their emotions, identify triggers, and build effective coping skills to regain a sense of balance and well-being. I guide clients through life transitions, whether it’s adjusting to a new phase of life, career changes, or shifting family dynamics, by fostering resilience and helping them create a path forward that aligns with their values and goals. For those engaging in identity exploration, I provide a nonjudgmental space to reflect on personal, cultural, and societal influences, helping clients cultivate self-acceptance and confidence in who they are. I also support individuals and couples in navigating relationship challenges, whether it involves improving communication, setting healthy boundaries, or healing from past relational wounds. I take an inclusive, culturally responsive approach to therapy, ensuring that every client feels seen, heard, and valued. By integrating various therapeutic modalities, I tailor sessions to meet each individual’s unique background and needs. My goal is to empower clients with the tools they need to foster personal growth, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience. I believe therapy should be a collaborative, empowering experience where clients feel supported in their journey toward healing and self-discovery. My style is direct, warm, compassionate, and goal-oriented, helping clients not only process their emotions but also develop concrete strategies to create meaningful change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect to leave sessions with greater self-awareness, practical tools for managing emotions and stress, and a deeper understanding of their strengths and values. My goal is to provide a space where clients feel empowered to navigate challenges, build resilience, and make positive changes in their lives. Whether working through difficult emotions, improving relationships, or setting personal goals, I strive to ensure each session feels productive, validating, and aligned with the client’s needs. My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning I tailor treatment to meet each client’s unique needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Attachment-Based Therapy to provide practical tools while also fostering emotional awareness and growth. I believe therapy should be a collaborative, empowering experience where clients feel supported in their journey toward healing and self-discovery. My style is direct, warm, compassionate, and goal-oriented, helping clients not only process their emotions but also develop concrete strategies to create meaningful change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued. I bring deep empathy, cultural humility, and a grounded presence to every session—meeting clients where they are while helping them access their inner resilience and strength. What makes me unique is the combination of my lived experience, professional training, and nearly two decades of work in behavioral and mental health. I’ve supported individuals and families through trauma, loss, identity exploration, caregiving challenges, and generational patterns that often go unspoken. I understand the complexity of navigating multiple roles, expectations, and cultural layers—and I approach each client with curiosity and respect for their story. Because I’ve worked across diverse settings and with multicultural populations, I’m skilled at tailoring evidence-based approaches in a way that feels relevant and empowering for each client. My background allows me to hold space for both deep emotional work and practical skills-building, helping people move from simply coping to living with more clarity, connection, and self-compassion.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or like no one really sees the weight you're carrying—especially as a caregiver, parent, young adult, or someone navigating life transitions—then you’re exactly who I’m here for. I specialize in working with individuals who are emotionally exhausted, anxious, or carrying the effects of trauma while still trying to show up for everyone else. You might be the one others rely on, the one who keeps it together—but inside, you’re struggling to manage your own emotions, find your voice, or prioritize your needs. Whether you're navigating the complex emotions of caregiving, coping with grief or burnout, healing from childhood trauma, or feeling lost in your relationships—I provide a supportive, culturally responsive space where you can finally feel safe to unpack it all. Together, we’ll work to create healthy boundaries, process emotional pain, and reconnect with your sense of self—so you can stop surviving and start feeling whole again.

My treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I have experience utilizing Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to support young children and their caregivers who have been impacted by trauma, attachment disruptions, or significant stress. In my practice, I use CPP to strengthen the caregiver-child relationship as a secure base for healing by integrating play, reflective dialogue, and trauma-informed interventions. I help caregivers understand and respond to their child's emotional needs while also addressing their own trauma history and parenting challenges, fostering safety, connection, and emotional resilience.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and use it in my practice to support children, adolescents, and their caregivers in healing from the effects of trauma. I guide clients through structured phases of stabilization, trauma narration and processing, and integration, while teaching coping skills such as relaxation, emotional regulation, and cognitive reframing. I collaborate closely with caregivers to enhance their support and reinforce a safe, nurturing environment that promotes resilience and recovery.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

I incorporate Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) in my practice to help clients identify and challenge irrational beliefs that contribute to emotional distress and unhelpful behaviors. Through the ABC model (Activating event, Beliefs, Consequences), I support clients in recognizing thought patterns that lead to anxiety, guilt, or low self-worth, and guide them in reframing those beliefs into more rational, empowering perspectives. This approach helps clients develop greater emotional resilience, self-acceptance, and effective problem-solving skills.

Couples Counseling

I provide Couples Counseling to support partners in improving communication, rebuilding trust, and navigating conflict in a healthy and respectful way. In my practice, I use evidence-based approaches to help couples identify unhelpful patterns, clarify emotional needs, and strengthen their emotional connection. I create a nonjudgmental space where each partner feels heard and supported, fostering mutual understanding and more secure, fulfilling relationships.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I integrate Culturally Sensitive Therapy into my practice by honoring each client’s unique cultural identity, values, and lived experiences. I take an actively curious, non-assumptive approach to understanding how culture, race, ethnicity, language, faith, gender identity, and immigration experiences impact mental health. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered, while adapting interventions to be culturally responsive and relevant to their worldview.
