Her primary areas of interest include women’s issues, working professionals, and adolescents, with specialization in substance abuse, and trauma. Tameka’s approach to counseling is through making a connection. The therapeutic relationship is the first step in the change process. She works hard to ensure that all of her clients feel safe and supported. She wants you to be the best version of yourself.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session is the assessment where the individual will have the opportunity to share what they have been experiencing and what they would like to work on in therapy. You will be given the opportunity to ask questions and we will set the tone for the therapeutic journey.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I pride myself on being open and nonjudgemental. I create a safe space where will make an authentic connection as we share this journey
