About me

Reaching out for help takes courage, but rest assured, you've already demonstrated strength by being here. Hi, I’m Samantha. I'm an LMHC based in Florida and have over a decade of experience working with individuals who are often seeking help for anxiety, stress, or depression while others are looking for guidance on how to cope with everyday stressors, challenging relationships, or adjusting to major life transitions. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be unapologetically you. Together, we will manage overwhelming stress, overcome unexpected changes, and dial down big emotions. My clients say they enjoy my sense of humor, down to earth attitude, and appreciate my understanding, open-mindedness, and being direct when needed.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll start by discussing what brought you to therapy and any specific goals or concerns you have. I'll explain how the therapeutic process works and answer any questions you may have during our time together. We'll explore your background, including family history and past experiences. Getting to know you will allow me to gain a better understanding of your unique situation so I can tailor our sessions to best meet your needs. Overall, the focus is on creating a comfortable and supportive environment where you'll feel confident working through the challenges you're experiencing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm dedicated to providing compassionate, effective, and personalized care to help you feel understood, empowered, and ready to take on whatever life throws your way. I genuinely connect with my clients on an emotional level. My goal is to understand where you're coming from without judgment and create a safe space where you can share about your struggles. Every client is unique, and I respect that diversity. Whether it's cultural background, personal beliefs, or life experiences, I make sure to approach each client with an open mind and a willingness to learn from them. I see therapy as a partnership. We'll work together to set goals and find strategies that fit you. I approach each session with flexibility and adapt to meet your changing needs by providing supportive guidance that evolves alongside your progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with young adults and millennials. I am also passionate about helping mothers who are experiencing difficulties during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I provide support to individuals navigating anxiety, depression, work/life stressors, boundary setting, relationship issues, ADHD, and more.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. We'll identify any negative thought patterns and work on challenging and changing them to improve your mood and behavior. Through collaboration and practical techniques, I’ll help you develop skills to cope with challenges and live a more fulfilling life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a type of therapy that helps people manage intense emotions and build healthier coping skills. It teaches four main skills: mindfulness (being present in the moment), distress tolerance (handling difficult situations without worsening them), emotional regulation (controlling strong emotions), and interpersonal effectiveness (improving relationships with others). DBT helps individuals respond to challenges in a more balanced way, by accepting themselves as they are while also making positive changes. It's particularly useful for anyone who struggles with overwhelming emotions or difficult life situations.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic memories and negative experiences. During EMDR sessions, you'll focus on distressing memories while simultaneously engaging in guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation. This process helps reframe and integrate these memories, reducing their emotional charge and helping you develop healthier responses.

Samantha is the best! She’s so helpful when it comes to talking through difficulties I’m having and helping me take a step back and understand why I’m making the choices that I do. I never feel judged by her and feel free to share anything I want to in session!

Samantha treats every session as if I were her only professional priority. She's an incredibly authentic provider whose passion is to enable her clients to experience a sense of empowerment and serenity that can only manifest after one defeats all of their demons. It's clear that she genuinely cares about her clients as people with absolutely unique needs, as opposed to just part of the job and a path to a paycheck. I 100% recommend her to anyone who wants to make real, noticable progress.
