I am dedicated to working with clients who are suffering from anxiety and trauma as it relates to life transitions, personal tragedy, chronic illness or cancer. If you are feeling distress, and want to feel well again, then it would be my honor to work along side you. I utilize psychotherapy, health coaching and energy psychology as well as methods rooted in psychoneuroimmunology if appropriate. As someone who has been on a healing journey, I truly understand the complexities of living with a chronic illness while navigating life's transitions. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) trained in EMDR, a therapy used to treat PTSD and Trauma. I am also a certified holistic health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I believe in utilizing a holistic approach with my clients to get to the root cause of their distress.
The session often starts with introductions in a warm, nonjudgmental environment to help you feel feel at ease. My clients are encouraged to share why they are seeking therapy, any current challenges, and their goals. We will discuss confidentiality, session logistics, fees, and the overall framework for therapy. I will gather information about your mental, emotional, and physical health, as well as relevant life history (relationships, work, family, etc.) We will co-create a roadmap for therapy, outlining what will be explored and possible strategies. You should leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, with a clearer idea of how therapy can support you.
My biggest strengths are being able to meet clients where they are and build trusting relationships.
It would be my honor to support you as you navigate the complexities of life's challenges. I enjoy working with motivated pro-active clients who want to change old patterns that no longer serve them. I would love the opportunity to connect and hear your story.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is utilized to treat trauma. I am certified in this modality and believe it is helpful for anyone suffering from PTSD or associated traumatic life events.
I use mindfulness-based exercises with clients working through stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, and anger.
