I have experience working with individuals, couples and families on issues related to addiction, infidelity and trust, self esteem, depression, anxiety, life changes, divorce, identifying goals, grief and loss as well as caregiver stress and elder adult issues and transitions. I have also worked with clients that are struggling with their identity, motivation and setting goals. I have experience with exposure response therapy to assist those with OCD. I also use trauma informed care to work with those who have experienced traumatic events from abuse to loss. I believe in a person’s ability to develop and grow, in order to become authentic. I utilize different approaches to meet my clients’ needs and help them find success in therapy. I utilize Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Dynamics and Person Centered Therapy to create a plan that will best fit the individual client. My approach is warm and interactive, I believe in asking thoughtful questions that cause clients to think and look deeper. I also inquire about my clients’ beliefs and background to get a better picture of who they are and what shaped them. It also allows me to be sensitive and respectful of cultural needs and differences.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I like to start our first session as a conversation. I will ask questions but find that clients are more comfortable when they are given the space and ability to share what they are experiencing. I meet with clients three times before making a commitment to working together. It is important that a client feels comfortable and connected and that we can collaboratively work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am thoughtful and inquisitive, I provide a warm and welcoming space for clients to open up. I have experience helping clients learn and identify coping skills that meet their needs. I help clients create goals through motivational interviewing.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with clients who are transitioning in life, who are navigating change and learning to identify their wants and needs. I enjoy working with clients who are struggling to find who they are and what they want out of life.
