Hello there. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I've been practicing clinical Social Work since 2011. With experience in community mental health, University counseling, and private practice, I have a passion for supporting individuals in navigating their challenges and barriers to them being the best version of themselves. I aim to foster a safe and nurturing environment where clients can explore those challenges, heal, and thrive. My approach is grounded in empathy, evidence-based practices, and a commitment to learning about your specific journey and goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In their first session with me, clients can anticipate a warm and supportive atmosphere where they're encouraged to discuss their reasons for seeking therapy, their goals, and any immediate concerns. This initial meeting is centered around establishing a foundation of trust and understanding, so you'll feel safe in expressing your true self. I will explain the therapy process, confidentiality, and how we can work together to address their needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my greatest strengths as a therapist include empathic listening and creating a non-judgmental environment. I feel the honor and privilege of being a person's therapist, of being able to support a person through a challenge, and do not take that honor lightly. I'll show up authentically, hoping that paves a way for us both to.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've been using CBT in therapy as a core modality of my work, particularly with shorter term clients, though not limited to that timeline.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I strive to see the client's intersectional identities and how a person's culture has impacted their values and actions. My approach is to lead with curiosity and humility.

EMDR

I'm trained in EMDR and working towards certification currently. I use EMDR most often in trauma work, though find it can be helpful for other symptoms.

Strength-Based

As a Social Worker, I work with clients through a strength based lens, and find it foundational to how I approach therapy.
