I use Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, EMDR, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies. This means I am centered in meeting you where you're at and promoting your ability to heal from the past as well as better manage thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I offer expertise in treating anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, anger management, and relationship problems. We improve through feeling understood and more capable of managing life's challenges. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My focus as you come into therapy is to provide an accepting and safe environment, holding space to support you in working through your most challenging problems and emotions. In our first session we'll begin with developing increased awareness of your personal experiences to inform the initial direction of therapy. You should expect to come away from sessions feeling supported and more capable of coping, I've observed through my experience, people progress through feeling understood and possessing coping skills for improved functioning within their daily lives.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

From a passion for learning and disposition for helping others, I've embraced continued education and training to develop mastery in using the most effective evidence-based practices. I come from a background involving interpersonal communication and placing value on the importance of relationships. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing. Through my relational qualities, interest in others and providing informed therapy, I have developed expertise in helping others recover from mental health problems.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in building self-awareness and developing their ability to better manage thoughts and behaviors for improving issues involving problems such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and relationship problems among others. I have completed extensive continuing education to receive advanced training in treating individuals with mild to severe mental health symptoms and place significant value in supporting client improvement in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I am an experienced provider of Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), a most effective treatment for Obsessive and Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I meet clients where they are at regarding present symptomology and support them in developing an analysis of their day to day lives to address relative issues in a comprehensive and informed manner. I have completed extensive training and education for providing evidenced-based practice in treating OCD using virtual technology.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have received continued education and advanced training involving Dialectical and Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I utilize DBT in day-to-day practice, treating individuals with personality disorders, depression, anxiety, OCD, and relationship problems. I place high value in the viability of DBT skills for helping clients develop mindfulness, better manage distress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships.

EMDR

I have completed continued education in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. I use EMDR in supporting clients in develop coping skills for distress tolerance as well as addressing and processing residual trauma symptoms in a safe environment.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI), a most effective treatment modality in supporting clients to identify and advance motivations toward goal attainment, improving relationship problems, and self-esteem among other benefits. I have extensive continued education as well as advanced training and experience in practicing MI and strongly believe in the efficacy of this treatment modality in helping clients realize positive life change.
