My name is Amanda Soto, LCSW. I believe in helping others grow through resilience, wellness, and independence. With a background of helping individuals find their worth, I utilize Cognitive behavioral techniques to find balance in their daily life. In our work together you can expect a brave space to explore your thoughts and feelings while improving your coping skills and self -esteem for your daily routine. I look forward to connecting with you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will get to know each other and identify your reasons for seeking therapy. We will identify if we are a good match and establish our goals for our working relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As your Provider, I work towards achieving your goals while supporting you with the hardships you may be experiencing in our time together. The space I offer is informal and casual, as I believe the best work is produced when your comfort is met.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This modality requires us to use acceptance to cope with and understand undesirable situations we may find ourselves in. We use this as an "it is what it is" mentality, allowing us to process our feelings while accepting our reality.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This modality is used to identify your core beliefs about yourself and share thoughts pertaining to your current situation. My role is to process this perspective and shape it into a different thinking pattern.

Compassion Focused

Sometimes we can be extra hard on ourselves and this modality allows us to address ourselves with grace and compassion.

Interpersonal

We have many relationships in our lifetime that do not always function in our preferred way. My role is to process these dynamics and identify opportunities for growth.

Strength-Based

We tend to focus on what we "can't do." This modality allows us to play on our strengths and use them as coping skills.
