Life is hard and sometimes we need help navigating through it. So many of us have those negative thoughts / beliefs that play out in our mind, some from early childhood trauma, others from ourselves. I can help you get rid of those negative messages and reduce or eliminate any symptoms that are a result of those messages and improve your life. I believe that a lot of us have beliefs/ thoughts that are a source of distress, does not matter if / when they started, it matters that they are distressing. There is a lot of negative out there and it is easy to focus on that and not what the positive that you are doing. A lot of people need help in seeing the positive there are doing and being validated for their feelings/actions. I meet the person where they are and will tailor the sessions with input from you to what best meets your needs. I am eclectic. I will provide education on different trauma treatment modalities to provide you the information that will help you decide the treatment modality that works best for you.
I believe in working as a team to meet the client’s needs. After meeting with me the client will have a very clear picture of what to expect from me as a therapist and in individual sessions. We will talk about your goals for counseling and how we can work together to meet those goals.
