Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Kentucky. Life is full of change and transitions. We can't always control the events in our lives, but we can choose how we respond to them. My goal as a therapist is to provide education and support to people as they learn how to integrate changes into their life story. I believe we all need someone in our lives who provides a safe, nonjudgmental safe space to ask difficult questions and express unfiltered thoughts and emotions. I do more than listen. I teach coping skills as well as provide direct, respectful feedback.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

A first session starts off with brief introduction. Next, I ask Clients to articulate why they are choosing therapy at this time in their life. After the client has identified at least one issue that have brought them to therapy we will begin addressing concerns and develop strategies to promote health coping.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

For the past several years, I have assisted people identify problems and develop concrete action plans to address their issues. Solution focused work is my goal for therapy sessions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy that helps people understand how thoughts affect emotions and behaviors. Our internal self-talk holds great power over how we experience life, process emotions and our behavior. The messages we tell ourselves impacts our relationships with others. One can learn strategies to identify and manage negative self-talk.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of talk therapy (psychotherapy). It’s based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), but it’s specially adapted for people who experience emotions very intensely. Through DBT, individuals can learn how to safely manage emotions and change unhealthy behaviors
