Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, based in Tennessee serving Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia via Telehealth. I received my Masters from Western Kentucky University and Bachelors Degree from Austin Peay State University. I have been practicing for many years in multiple areas to include Childrens Services, Parenting Assessments/ Treatment, Young Adult Addiction, Young Adults, Foster Youth/ Foster Parents, Military, and Military Families. I find helping people to accomplish their goals and process life occurances to be rewarding. I can help adults with anxiety, coping skills, grief, and relationships. I can help teens and young adults with coping and life skills. I also work with couples struggling with relationships concerns or lack of growth. As well as working with families to work through family concerns and struggles.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will include basic background of your personal life and support system. Any previous or current therapy you have experienced. As well as current coping skills/ self care you may be currently utilizing. All of this will help create a tailored plan to coordinate your own personal goals and objectives for our time together in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with all age groups with various challenges, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you identify the root cause of your challenges and create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. I have worked with families, couples, children, teens, military active/spouses/children/retired, as well as clients with multiple traumas.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for many years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Couples Counseling

I specialize in teaching couples to navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and increase your intimacy and affection. I have experience with couples who are married, unmarried, engaged, and divorced. I’m confident you and your partner will find the compassionate support you need to navigate your relationship in the right direction.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I frequently use EFT to help clients through traumatic events and stress they have encountered throughout their life. There are six treatment principles that guide this therapy: achieving empathic attunement, fostering an empathic, a caring therapeutic bond, facilitating task collaboration, helping the client process experience appropriately to the task, supporting completion of key client tasks, and fostering client development and empowerment.
