I’m Courtney (she/her/hers), a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Illinois. I am passionate about working with adolescents, teens and adults addressing trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, self-esteem, and life changes. My experience also includes helping parent/child relationships, eating disorders, and those who have been impacted by domestic violence or sexual abuse. The thought of therapy can feel overwhelming, it is my mission to make clients feel safe to build a trusting relationship that fosters openness and honesty. I use compassion, humor, and direct communication to address my clients concerns and meet their needs. I view the therapeutic relationship as an equal collaboration between therapist and client working toward goals, for you to feel at your best.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will get to know one another, dive into reasons for seeking therapy at this time, and what concerns you may have. This will allow us to collaborate on a treatment plan that best meets your needs for following sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the greatest tools that we can use together in order to achieve your goals. Going at a pace for you that will help you feel safe to manage life's challenges and promote substantial change will help improve quality of life overall.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages who are looking to promote change, gain a better understanding of self, and create a lifestyle that is beneficial to them. Clients often come to therapy wanting a space to share their concerns and navigate through life's challenges.
