Hi there! My name is Tim and I use a very compassionate, therapeutic and cooperative approach. I like to take my time and listen to my clients, allowing them to tell their story. With this approach, I find that my clients become more comfortable with their selves and are able to connect with me better. My clients are able to see for themselves what they wish to change in their lives. From there I can help provide guidance and solutions for how to make that change a reality. With my assistance, my clients can pick the their ultimate destination for their life an I can help them build a road map to get there.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During the first session, I will spend time getting to know my clients and what it is I can help them with. I want my clients to leave with a sense of hope that things could change the way that they want them to. That with work and assistance, they can become the best version of their self.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I use numerous treatment methods that include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy and talk therapy. These methods allow the clients I serve to explore in their lives what is and is not working, what is positive and negative in their lives right now and how best to change what they want change. This change could be how we think about a situation, how a situation is perceived by others and the ability to confront the unknown with courage, understanding and acceptance.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I have experience in working with children who suffer from depression and anxiety. I have experience in working with children and adults who have suicidal thoughts, thoughts of harming themself and harming others. I have experience in working with children and young adults who have intellectual disabilities, Autism and sever behavioral issues.
