Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our time together, I aim to create an environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. Each session is an opportunity for you to be heard, valued, and supported. My goal is for you to leave each encounter feeling affirmed, validated, and one step closer to realizing your aspirations. Whether you're navigating challenging emotions or life transitions, I am here to accompany you on your path to healing and self-discovery.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with women in life transition for many years, I have discovered how to help them tap into their own strengths, get unstuck, and live meaningful lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have a special interest in working with Millennial and Gen X women who transitioning from young adult to midlife. These women often experience anxiety and depression related to various life transitions (e.g. empty nest syndrome, career changes, caring for an aging parent, etc.) that can leave them feeling stuck and unfulfilled. I aim to help these women discover their true identities in order to begin pursuing their goals. Although I do not practice exclusively from a Christian framework, I welcome women who wish to incorporate their Christian faith into their therapy journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe that negative, self-defeating, and inaccurate thoughts are often the root of depression and anxiety. In utilizing CBT in my practice, I aim to help women challenge those unhelpful thoughts, reframing them into more realistic and healthy thoughts.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf." - Jon Kabat Zinn. I believe that this quote perfectly illustrates how you can live a meaningful life, despite inevitable life stressors, disappointments, and losses. ACT (pronounced as 'act', not A.C.T.) will teach you how to spend less energy trying deny and avoid your emotions. This is exhausting, and keeps you stuck! Instead, you commit to making positive changes in your life that align with your personal values.
