I am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy, applied behavioral analysis, neuropsychology, and psychoanalysis. My interventions tend to be inclusive and can involve one, or all of these methods depending upon what would be most beneficial for you. The fields of humanistic and Adlerian psychology have also greatly influenced my approach as a therapist. As a result, when I am asked what my theoretical orientation is, I identify myself as “eclectic.” My experience has taught me that there is no singular “best” approach. Only what would be best for the individual seeking help. The benefit of my diversified training is that I am able to cater my interventions to meet your unique and specific needs.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In a first session, clients can expect a warm and inclusive environment where their unique concerns are listened to attentively. The session begins with an open dialogue to understand your background, current challenges, and goals. Drawing from an eclectic approach, we'll gently explore how different therapeutic frameworks might align with your needs. Thruogh this, exploring explain interventions that could be tailored to you, fostering a sense of collaboration from the outset. With insights from humanistic and Adlerian psychology, I'll help you uncover your strengths and identify practical goals. The session concludes with a shared plan for future work together, ensuring clients feel understood, supported, and optimistic about their therapeutic journey.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
As a provider, some of my greatest strengths include being empathic and having an innate ability to help people understand their thoughts and emotions more clearly. My empathy allows me to deeply connect with clients, creating a safe and supportive space where they feel truly heard. This trustworthiness fosters an environment conducive to growth and self-discovery. My experiential diversity provides clients with a broader perspective, enabling them to explore their feelings from different angles and find new paths toward healing and well-being.
