Hi, my name is Ariel Swannick, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-QS). I got into social work after going through my own childhood traumas, grief, depression and anxieties. I understand the anger and frustration, the fear of facing your past, and the uncertainty of moving forward. I have worked in the mental health system since 2011, and believe in client-centered therapy. I am here for you and to make the process as easy as possible. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During the first session it is about going over stressors that are bringing clients to therapy, developing a treatment plan and goals, going over what therapy will look like and any questions clients may have.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Through therapy I get to better know you as a person, an individual. Therapy is about you! It is your space to heal, to relax, to laugh, to take a break, to be authentically you without judgement. In this approach I can help you identify thoughts or skills that will help you most in overcoming your struggles.
