Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist born and raised in California. I received my Masters degree at CSU East Bay and have practicing for 8 years. Outside of my private practice, I work in college mental health. I work best with clients seeking support around adjustment, identity, stress, and emotional wellness. My background includes working with first-generation college students, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those from historically marginalized communities.
The first session is about connection. We’ll take time to get to know each other—what brought you in, what you’re hoping for, and what care could look like moving forward. We’ll talk through your initial concerns, explore goals at your pace, and begin building a roadmap together. I also leave space for your questions—I want you to feel informed and empowered as we begin.
As a Latina, a first-generation college graduate, and a queer woman, I understand the layered experiences that come with navigating identity, systems, and expectations. I bring both lived experience and clinical training into the room. I work with a decolonizing lens, acknowledging the harm traditional mental health systems have caused, and intentionally creating a space where you feel respected and human—not pathologized. I value fit, transparency, and collaboration—because I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen.
If you’re someone who has often felt unseen in traditional therapy spaces—maybe because of your culture, identity, or past experiences—you’re not alone. I aim to create a space that’s not only safe but affirming. I especially enjoy working with young adults and people adjusting to new chapters in life. I’m here to support your emotional thriving, strengthen your existing support systems, and help you feel more grounded and well.
I approach therapy with an understanding of how trauma can shape one’s sense of safety, identity, and connection. I prioritize creating a space that feels empowering, predictable, and respectful of your pace. My goal is to support your resilience while gently addressing the impacts of trauma with care and sensitivity.
I honor the complexity of each person’s cultural identity, including how race, gender, class, sexuality, and other lived experiences shape your story. I strive to create a space that is affirming, curious, and respectful—where your background and values are not only welcomed, but central to our work together.
My work is grounded in the therapeutic relationship, where trust, authenticity, and collaboration are central. Together, we explore your patterns in relationships—past and present—to better understand your emotional world and support meaningful change.
I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches—including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based strategies—to meet you where you are. My work supports adjustment through life transitions, helps manage distressing thoughts and emotions, and focuses on maximizing overall wellbeing. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model; instead, I tailor our work based on what feels most effective and relevant to you.
