Hello! My name is Kim (she.her) and I am a Clinical Social Worker in Texas. My treatment philosophy is influenced by TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention), attachment theory, relational psychodynamic approaches, and mentalization-based treatment. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship in order to create a safe space to allow curiosity and insightful introspection. Throughout our experience together, I will help you learn how to become more in tune with your body and mind so that you can master your emotions, thoughts, and feelings in order to create better relationships with yourself and others. We will explore past experiences in order to find patterns and world views that you currently hold and that effect the way you operate in the present. I strongly believe in using experiential techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and other mind-body techniques that assist in giving you a state of focused attention in which to reach your therapeutic goals. I work well with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, depression, and problems with adjustment. Does this sounds like you?
After our sessions you will have tools that connect your mind, body, and emotions, as well as knowledge in relationship dynamics, both personal and professional.
TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention), attachment theory, relational psychodynamic approaches, and mentalization-based treatment
I have worked with adults, children, families, and young adults transitioning into adulthood for 20 years. During that time I have helped many different types of families and individuals by providing ways for them to connect their mind, body, and emotions in order to improve their lives and relationships.
