Hello, I'm Wenona, As a child have you ever felt alone and that no one liked you, yelled at or felt rejected? Or were you the subject of bulling or being teased? What about as an adult? Have you felt like you’re constantly being insulted, blamed, belittled, or felt like you don’t have a voice? Emotional abuse is just as damaging as, if not more than physical abuse. It is often unrecognized and ignored as the scars it leaves behind are unseen. Emotions cry like this. “I don’t want to experience this pain anymore. I want it all to go away. I can’t take it anymore. Why must I be in so much pain that is invisible to others but excruciating to me? Ouch! Its ok to start small. By an inch is a cinch, by the yard its hard. Don’t rush the healing process. I can help you move from pain to promise and from victim to victor. It’s your time to rewrite your story and polish the jewel so the formers cries of Ouch will become silent.
During our first session, it will be a meet and greet. You will have the opportunity to ask all the questions you need that will help you along your journey. I invite all questions regarding my background experience and at times personal experiences. I have a caring nature and interactive style. I create an atmosphere that brings comfort to anyone in my presence. I believes in total respect, honesty and transparency. This style sets the pace for future session. There will be assignment following some session as agreed upon. Leaving session will not leave you at a lose, but know that you have been found.
Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are my two primary methods. I often provide assignments to complete for next session such as worksheets and journal. In session, there could be role-playing, practicing relaxation techniques just to name a few. I enjoy teaching new skills that correspond with the task at hand.
I love to work with individuals who are motivated and ready to make a change. Even when it seems impossible to the naked eye, the drive to pursue is there.
