I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California specializing in military culture. I have a master's in psychology and a master's in mental health counseling with six years of professional work experience; I have experience and compassion in helping clients with stress, depression, anxiety, addictions, military culture, self-esteem, fear, and impaired confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I am a good listener and can help and motivate clients through change. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage, and I am proud of you for getting started!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and then discuss the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

For six years, I've worked with clients in various age groups and professions and developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping. Together, we identify the root cause of your challenges and create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with an array of clients experiencing depression and anxiety, addiction, and new professionals. Clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, or addiction often lack the appropriate coping tools and support. New professionals tend to feel indecisive about careers and have a "fear of the unknown" about their future. Lastly, working with military culture is gratifying. I have a specialization in military culture.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I mostly work with clients using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps them understand how thinking impacts feelings, moods, and behaviors.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I work with clients who have suffered trauma to help them understand how culture can play an important role and how people view and maneuver through trauma. I learn from the client about the client's culture as much as possible to gain an understanding of them as a person.

Eclectic

I frequently transition by using different modalities based on a client's needs. I tend to use Dialectical Behavioral Health, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Clients can identify feelings and learn about safe-place imagery and relaxation techniques to help them transition through current or past traumatic experiences. By doing this, clients are guided to recovery and growth.
