What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After your first session with me, you can expect to gain a better understanding of your mental health concerns and the treatment options available to you. As the Psychiatric NP, I will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan based on your individual needs/preferences. Moving forward, you can expect to receive ongoing support and guidance from me as your provider, as you work toward your treatment goals. This may involve regular check-ins, medication management, therapy sessions, or other forms of treatment as needed. Over time, working with me/the provider can help you gain insight into your mental health, learn new coping skills, and make progress toward achieving better overall well-being. You may experience improvements in your mood, relationships, and daily functioning.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I work with clients to find the most appropriate medication(s) and dosage(s) for their needs and monitor their effectiveness and potential side effects. Therapy and counseling: A range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy may be utilized when indicated. Psychoeducation: As the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I provide education and information to clients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and coping skills. Telepsychiatry: With the use of technology, I can provide mental health care through video or phone calls.
