I am a Maryland-licensed, Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of health care experience serving diverse populations, including adults, individuals with developmental disabilities, and the elderly and disabled. Adriane has provided care to address mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and ADHD, as well as chronic medical conditions and social determinants of health. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Stevenson University (formerly Villa Julie College) and my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. I utilize evidence-based treatment guidelines to diagnose and treat clients, taking a client-centered care approach and focusing on individual needs to develop the most appropriate treatment plan. My goal is to establish a compassionate and effective working relationship with each client, helping them identify their strengths and weaknesses to facilitate adherence to treatment and achievement of goals. The goal of treatment is to improve clients' overall well-being and success.
In our first session, we'll start by getting to know each other through introductions. I want to understand your story, and what makes you, well, you! Together, we'll explore your history and discuss any concerns you might have. In addition, I can answer any questions you might have. Once the initial assessment is completed, we'll work together to develop a plan that's just for you. It's not a one-time thing—we'll keep refining and adjusting it in our future sessions to help you reach your goals.
I understand the importance of having empathy, active listening skills, flexibility, patience, and clinical expertise when working with clients who are experiencing mental health concerns. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients where they can feel heard, supported, and validated. By actively listening to my clients and understanding their unique needs and preferences, I work collaboratively with them to develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to their specific goals and concerns. I am committed to being flexible in my approach and adapting my strategies as needed to best support my clients in their mental health journey. With patience and persistence, I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve meaningful progress in their treatment goals.
As a provider serving the adult population, individuals aged 18 and above, my goal is to foster a safe and productive environment where you can openly discuss your concerns and receive the support you need to navigate your path toward growth and healing.
During medication visits, I incorporate CBT by helping you identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. We briefly explore patterns affecting your mood and discuss practical strategies to manage stress, emotions, and daily challenges—supporting both your mental wellness and medication goals holistically.
