As a board-certified PMHNP I have had experience in the management of a myriad of mental health related conditions and struggles. Upon completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, I opted to pursue additional advanced training as a Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Mental Health from the University of Cincinnati. My in-depth experience in this field has immersed me into gaining a holistic approach in the treatment of individuals who are struggling with life situations and/or medical comorbidities; with a particular focus on adolescents, adults and families. An initial session with me will involve a preliminary evaluation to gain an insight on your life situations or any medical factors affecting your emotional health. Recommendations for treatment will stem from an understanding of how individual and family systems influence a person’s emotional needs and symptoms. This allows me to individualize and provide targeted treatment which may include medications. My goal is to provide mental health treatment inline with evidenced based practice guidelines keeping ethical approaches in mind while partnering with you to prioritize your mental wellbeing.
In our first session together, we'll dive into your specific challenges with a comprehensive initial evaluation as the foundation. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
