I serve the young adult population, ages 18 to 35. This is a critical time in life where our decisions today effect our future for years to come. This age group is overlooked, often because society says you should be having "the time of your life." The reality is that young adulthood can be tumultuous and existential. Together, we will reveal your core values, examine family dynamics, determine goals, and prove that you have what we need to get you on the path to your desired future.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I want our first session to feel relaxed. Think of it as a conversation about your life story. I ask a lot of questions to help me build a snapshot of you and learn what you need.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a great therapist for people who are new to therapy. We build a quick relationship that is friendly, non-judgmental, and full of humor. You are the expert of you, and you have all the answers inside. I just help you say them out loud.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance is everything. When we accept something, it doesn't necessarily mean that we like it. That's what can make it so difficult.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Changing our thoughts can change our behaviors. We experience many errors in our thinking that can keep us stuck. CBT can help identify these distortions and replace them with more helpful thoughts and behaviors.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is a way to examine past trauma as an observer, rather than reliving it. CPT reveals errors in thinking about past events and helps us see how our trauma has changed our core beliefs and the way we view the world. CPT looks at where we are stuck and how to create a new narrative that will help move us forward.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivation Interviewing (MI) is a conversation that allows us to come to our own conclusions about making change. MI helps solutions to problems unfold.

Humanistic

Humanistic psychology views everyone as "inherently good." This view looks at the individual in their world and believes that we all have the tool we need to improve ourselves.
