Hello, I am Hope, Are you feeling stuck and like you need to make changes in your life to be happier and more fulfilled? Do things feel out of balance with your relationship with yourself and others? Do you find it harder to be kind to yourself than a stranger? I have experience in helping teen and adult clients, often going through major life transitions. With a goal to better manage stress and anxiety, work through relationship conflicts, improve motivation, and self esteem. We'll address your whole self, mind, body & spirit, to find a balance through cognitive therapy, as well as mindfulness, encouraging yoga and artistic expression to better know yourself. I strive to be unbiased and am comfortable working with people from all backgrounds. My work experience is varied across many settings, as I have provided individual, family and group therapy in community mental health agencies, residential treatment facilities, county jails and private practice within a group and solo. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps towards needed change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After reviewing your intake and understanding your therapy goals, I find that often the best way to start our relationship by going through a chronological history of your life. This will increase my understanding of where you are coming from in your life. Throughout our work together, we will work to uncover any areas that might be causing you to feel stuck and give guidance on how to move forward with a greater understanding of your patterns, where they came from and how to change them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my biggest strengths are in the area of Adult Children of Alcoholics and Inner Child Work. Inner Child Work has the belief that we are every age we have ever been and often the key to unlock our biggest self challenges are hidden in our past. Once we can identify that part of ourselves, we no longer need to emotionally react, being able to change our patterns and move forward.
