Are you desiring to feel more confident in yourself and to have a healthier, more fulfilling life? Are you looking for freedom and hope in ongoing areas of struggle? Wanting more for yourself is a good thing! Seeking help is healthy and takes courage. Finding the right therapist can be intimidating and building a trusting relationship with a therapist can take time. I understand how difficult it can be to be vulnerable. We will work together to find an approach best suited to your unique challenges and goals. I work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered perspective, building a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, empathy, and compassion. My approach utilizes evidence-based methods and techniques such as CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, EMDR, and DBT. Whether you are looking to talk through current stressors, or dig deeper to process past trauma, I hope to provide a nurturing space, collaborating with you on your journey of healing and personal growth. With a spirit of compassion and non-judgment, I help people move beyond the issues that limit their joy in life through a unique blend of psychotherapy. By reaching out for support, you can bring yourself closer to the relief and change that you desire.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be an introduction to therapy and each other to see if we are a good fit. We will conduct a diagnostic assessment to help determine areas of clinical focus. This assessment will also help us determine treatment options and clinical fit. We will discuss confidentiality, mandated reporting concerns, and answer any questions you have.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered perspective, building a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, empathy, and compassion. My approach utilizes evidence-based methods and techniques such as CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, EMDR, and DBT. CBT helps us recognize our thought distortions and assists in reframing them to more adaptive and beneficial cognitions. Mindfulness helps us be aware, accepting, and present. EMDR is a specialized intervention for trauma. DBT assists with emotional regulation and distress tolerance.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a wide range of experience with various client populations. I began my career working with children and adolescents. I moved on to working with foster care, focusing both on foster children and the concerns of the foster family. I then focused on addiction work. Currently, I am working full-time at a college. I enjoy working with people who are in transitional periods in their life. I feel my strengths are connecting with people, providing compassionate and accessible care, and being ethical.
