Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with my Masters and Bachelors from Northern Arizona University. I have been working as a mental health professional for 3 years, working in the behavioral health field for 6 years total. I am passionate about helping individuals feel empowered and validated, creating a secure environment to discuss areas of life that can be reflected on. I look forward to meeting you!
Within your first session, we will discuss what led you to reach out for support. This will allow me to evaluate how I can best assist you. From there, we discuss an overview of your past, present, and future. I would then like to discuss your history, such as your upbringing or trauma exposure. We talk about your day to day, such as your supports, job, and a typical daily schedule. Last, we will identify a goal that you would like to focus on as we move forward.
As a provider, I want to make sure you know that I am seeing you as a person instead of a list of symptoms or diagnosis. We will have to talk about difficult topics at times, but I enjoy doing our best to laugh and stay uplifted during session.
Cognitive behavioral therapy allows you to gain control over your life by seeing how your thought process impacts your emotions and behaviors. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to emphasize understanding of oneself.
