Do you feel alone or misunderstood? Does your mind get to loud? Do you struggle with sense of self or maintaining healthy relationships? I can relate. Join me and let me help you organize your thoughts. Let me help you gain a deeper sense of self awareness and regain control over your life by identifying the origins of your harmful thinking patterns, addressing repressed traumas, and learning how to combat negative anxious thoughts with tangible resources. My name is Hanna Levesque, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a Masters degree in Social Work, a minor in Criminology, a Clinical license with the Department of Public Health and 6+ years of experience working the field of Social Work. Currently, I work in a law office that serves low income clients during the week. In this role, I feel as if I have a front row seat and a deeply raw understanding of how our communities are struggling. Whether it be systemic obstacles or struggling with mental health, substance abuse, homelessness, physical disability, financial stress, etc., the state of our people is fragile. I want to help.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Prior to our first session I will read your intake forms and familiarize myself with your name and information. I find it important to pronounce names correctly so I will most likely ask for the correct pronunciation of your name or any preferred nicknames. Once we've introduced ourselves I'll begin by asking what brought you to therapy. The golden rule of social work is to "meet the client where they are," feel free to speak as much or as little, as deep or as shallow as you prefer until you're sure you think we're a good match. I will support you in whatever capacity you allow.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have experience working in various roles including short and long-term residential care, outpatient services for mental health and substance abuse, court appointed referral services, community based re-entry services, school social work and family navigation. I have worked with clients of all ages but find myself working best with teens and adults and people struggling to handle the transitions that characterize those age groups. As stated previously, I have a Masters degree in Social Work with a concentration of individuals, groups, and families. My passion has always been working with people/couples struggling with attachment issues and healthy relationships. I specialize in assisting individuals dealing with a variety of obstacles including ADHD, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, parental grief, loss, adjustment difficulties, loss of self-esteem, co-dependency, unhealthy boundaries, creating balance in relationships, etc. After spending 5 years working in non-profit I have developed advanced knowledge of community resources and how to navigate different State departments to help my clients not only address their mental health, but also any collateral consequences that might follow in their physical lives. I have worked intimately with people struggling with criminal/legal involvement and I would love to help those dealing with court related matters navigate that process. For as long as I can remember I knew I wanted to be a Social Worker, this job was not a choice for me, it was a calling. As a child, social workers helped save my life. We stand to represent all of the grey in a black and white world and I take this privilege of helping you become the best version of yourself, very seriously. I pledge to honor you and your story, and work hard to help you feel more in control of your mental health. If you think we would be a good fit, please reach out to me. As we work together, I hope to help you build the tool kit necessary to navigate your life.

My treatment methods

Psychoanalytic

Through talk therapy and an emphasis on disruptive thinking patterns we can use psychoanalytic therapy to explore and further understand your childhood. By seeking the origin of our adult problems and how they've been shaped through our lives we can begin to challenge and hopefully heal them.

Attachment-based

So many of us struggle with interpersonal relationships in our daily lives, yet so many of us lack understanding of our attachment styles and how they influence our ability to function in adult relationships, both romantic and platonic. Together we can identify your attachment style, and learn skills to have healthier relationships.

Motivational Interviewing

Here to listen and help you organize your thoughts in as deep or shallow a level you prefer, this is a privilege to work with you and I will honor your journey.
