Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Before our first session, I will review your intake forms and take care to familiarize myself with your name and background. I believe it’s important to pronounce names correctly and respect any preferred nicknames, so I’ll always ask to be sure. Once we’ve introduced ourselves, I’ll begin by asking what brought you to therapy. The guiding principle of my practice is to “meet clients where they are,” which means you are welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable until you know we’re a good fit. My role is to support you at the pace and depth you choose, creating a space where you feel respected, understood, and empowered.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a mix of real-world experience and a genuine passion for meeting people right where they are. I’ve worked in many settings from residential programs and outpatient mental health to court services, schools, and community re-entry, and I’ve learned that healing looks different for everyone. I especially enjoy working with teens and adults as they navigate the big transitions, challenges, and questions that come with these stages of life. Together we can explore struggles like ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, or simply feeling stuck or disconnected. My time in non-profit work also gave me the tools to help clients connect with resources and navigate systems like state services or the legal process—because life outside of therapy matters, too. For me, social work has never been “just a job.” It’s been a calling since childhood, when social workers helped change the course of my own life. I carry that forward by creating a safe, supportive, and down-to-earth space where you can show up as yourself, find your footing, and start building the balance and confidence you deserve.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have experience supporting clients in a variety of settings, including residential programs, outpatient mental health and substance use treatment, court-appointed services, community re-entry, school social work, and family navigation. While I have worked with all ages, I specialize in helping teens and adults manage the transitions, stressors, and emotional challenges that often arise during these stages of life. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, with a focus on building coping skills, resilience, and confidence so that you can move forward feeling more balanced and supported.

My treatment methods

Psychoanalytic

Through talk therapy and an emphasis on disruptive thinking patterns we can use psychoanalytic therapy to explore and further understand your childhood. By seeking the origin of our adult problems and how they've been shaped through our lives we can begin to challenge and hopefully heal them.

Attachment-based

So many of us struggle with interpersonal relationships in our daily lives, yet so many of us lack understanding of our attachment styles and how they influence our ability to function in adult relationships, both romantic and platonic. Together we can identify your attachment style, and learn skills to have healthier relationships.

Motivational Interviewing

Here to listen and help you organize your thoughts in as deep or shallow a level you prefer, this is a privilege to work with you and I will honor your journey.
