When your heart is sad …. when your thoughts are anxious or disturbed…when you don’t know what to do or who to turn to… there is always hope. I’m a clinical social worker who specializes in walking along-side children, men, women, and families who need a hand-up along the way. My evidence-based and strengths-focused therapeutic approach is geared towards improved functioning that supports optimizing life outcomes through better thought processing and changing behavior. My work has been in support of individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, sexual dysfunction, personality and relationship problems, in addition to substance misuse.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
We will work together during our first meeting to begin establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship, complete an assessment to identify needs, and establish capacity for therapy sessions. Our next meeting will be to establish goals and objectives - and the work for betterment begins.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
During our time together, I will utilize therapy that is evidence based and proves to be the effective approach and may include - Cognitive Behavior, Mindfulness, Client-Centered, Behavior, and Moral Reconation Therapy.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
In order to ‘center’ my focus and activity on you, I am an empathetic (and sometimes sympathetic) listener who is able to quickly join my heart to your heart, which enables me to hear the problem, speak about solutions, and develop effective treatment.
