I have worked in the mental health field since 2005. I am trained in EMDR and working towards being EMDR certified. I bring the concepts of mind and body interconnections to the therapeutic space. I am proud to work with people of diverse backgrounds including all ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session you can expect a conversation about what brings you here and what you would like to work on. Having the initial conversations allows us to get to know each other and to see if we are a good fit to work together on your goals. Sometimes counseling starts on one path and ends up on another. Trust is a vital component and essential to the therapeutic relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strengths are being able to pull from a range of treatment modalities. I understand pain and suffering and its impact. I believe that a little change and insight goes along way into alleviating distress. I am flexible and openminded

My treatment methods

EMDR

I have been practicing EMDR for several years. It is helpful to process trauma and get rid of negative beliefs , experience a lessening of symptoms and feel better mind, body and spirit.

Eclectic

I draw upon multiple theoretical orientations and techniques. This allows for a flexible and multifaceted approach to therapy where I use the most effective methods available to address an individuals unique needs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a standard in therapy. it is a way to understand how thoughts, feelings and behaviors work and a way to look a patterns.

Mind-body approach

the mind body approach views our selves as a system that works together. It is a way to view how our minds and bodies connected and work with each other.
