I have been in this field for over 10 years. I strive to helping people to heal and grow, along with becoming a better version of themselves. My theoretical approaches are client-centered, holistic, and mindfulness with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy. I would be excited to be part of your journey in healing and creating a stable foundation for your growth and development. I am also bilingual and provide services in Spanish. I truly look forward to meeting you…

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I provide a safe, secure, and relaxed environment while conducting Telehealth. Collaborating with me feels very relaxed and comfortable. Many people have told me that I am easy to talk to and bond with. We will have open communication as we get to know each other. I will answer questions and strive to put you at ease. I will also check to make sure we are on the same page by using a checks and balance approach summarizing what you have shared with me. We will then develop the next steps in the process to help you heal and grow.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I help patients manage problems with their family and other relationships. As a Marriage and Family therapist I encourage clients to discuss their emotions and experiences and, develop strategies and skills to change behavior and cope with difficult situations. Many therapists apply cognitive behavioral therapy to help patients understand harmful thoughts, feelings, and also teach patients how to replace them with positive, life-enhancing ones.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

My experience with mindfulness has been very useful, beneficial, and rewarding to my clients, it has been shown to decrease Anxiety, Depression, and other mental illness when applied and practiced the techniques.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 10 years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

My experience in utilizing the DBT approach has been focusing on skills training, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance that best matches and makes the client comfortable.

Couples Counseling

I have been practicing with many couples this past year and found it very rewarding to utilize the couple's approach. I have developed a structured week-by-week program, which includes in-session activities and homework assignments. When working with couples I listen, guide, and support both parties.

Play Therapy

I utilize this approach with children when creating rapport and building trust.
