Hi, my name is Anna Lee I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I love serving my clients and work well with clients and their family members to develop a plan of care tailored specifically for them. My goal is to assist clients in discovering healthier coping skills and realistic ways to navigate stressful situations. I also manage medications for patients who are experiencing various mental health conditions.
I want to get to know the client and clearly identify what their needs are so that I can best serve them and meet their needs. I accomplish this by discussing with the client their current concerns and identifying their needs by gathering information in a non-judgmental, easy manner. This provides the necessary information to set up a treatment plan and goals and it me and the client a way of identifying progress. During the first session it's important that a strong therapeutic alliance begins to be created.
Having worked with clients from different backgrounds I have learned to effectively communicate with clients who are not only from different backgrounds but also different stages in their lives. I also successfully treat clients who are in a mental health crisis.
I love serving clients of different backgrounds and ages. I am experienced with treating patients with a variety of mental health needs across the lifespan. Yes! This includes children who are as young as six who would benefit from my services.
In clinical practice, I use Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients talk through multiple mental health problems. CBT is effective in teaching coping skills The focus is primarily on how your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes can negatively affect your feelings and actions. Often changes in the way a client thinks about a situation often improves the way they feel.
