I have been a licensed professional counselor for over 12 years. I strive to have a caring ear, an understanding heart and to be respectful to each person's cultural background and experience. I seek to empower individuals to: *Reach their personal goals and gain insight, *Heal and resolve past traumas and current stressors, *Improve the quality of their life. I embrace a strength-based perspective. I am interactive and seek to offer tools that improve the lives of children, adults, families and marriages. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into specific challenges your facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My treatment approaches are individualized to each person's needs. I use an integrative approach to counseling which is inclusive and open to using the treatment approach that will best fit the clients' needs. I work with: adults, teens, families, and marriage counseling. My foundation is the Person-Centered model of therapy, which aligns with my personal belief that individuals are the experts on their own lives and have the answers they need. Some of the innovation interventions I integrate into my practice are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Self-Compassion and Self-Care, Mindfulness, Trauma Therapy and Behavior Modification.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have had specialized training in the following areas: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Parenting, Marriage, and Family, Teens. I have worked 14 years in counseling thru the school system and 12 years in mental health therapy. I collaborate with local physicians to assist with any med management needs. I also have knowledge of natural alternatives to medications, for those individuals who prefer these natural options.
