Hi, I'm Brittany, nice to meet you virtually! Are you in need of a listening ear? Someone who will help you sort through unpleasant feelings and unkind thoughts? Whether these unkind thoughts are internal, coming from someone in your life, or from a traumatic experience, therapy can help move you along in the healing process. I work to help you understand your negative thought patterns and reframe them to better cope with life and everyday stressors. Together we can explore the way you feel about yourself and the world to allow you to get back to living your best life. We'll learn skills to help you manage as you nourish your relationship with yourself and your thoughts. My therapeutic process is super collaborative and I follow your lead in the session. I know how important it is to build a good relationship with a therapist, especially so you can be your most authentic self in sessions. I provide therapy online in the evenings and weekends so you can work on your goals in the comfort of your own home and at times that fit in with your busy life!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, we will discuss your intake form and what brings you to therapy. From there we'll come up with a plan as to how to achieve your goals!
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I like to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in sessions because it provides a good structure for untangling and managing negative thoughts. I enjoy working with first time therapy seekers using CBT because it helps explain thought patterns and behaviors that have become second nature to many of us. I also enjoy using Narrative Therapy to help you reclaim your story and identity and resolve any conflicts you may have in your relationships or personal life.

Being non-judgmental is extremely important to me as a therapist. You are seeking therapy to feel heard, validated, and understood. Even in cases where I don't agree or understand a point of view, my only goal is to ensure you are supported and cared for through our time together. I enjoy working with first time therapy seekers, as taking that first step to sign up for therapy can feel like you're trying to jump the grand canyon on a tricycle. I can empathize with that initial uncertainty and anxiety of getting ready to pour your soul out to a random person online. Because of that, I move at your pace and ensure you are safe and supported while telling your story, no matter how many sessions that takes.
