Many of my clients come to me initially feeling lost, overwhelmed, confused, or just wanting to expand their purpose, challenge themselves, or even rediscover who they are. Many are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or even symptoms they can't explain or identify. I serve a vast variety of clients and complexities, but one common goal is- "I just want to feel better." And together... we accomplish that and more. We’ll work together to develop strategies that empower you to overcome obstacles and bounce back stronger.
In our first session together, we'll start with a brief introduction, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow- up sessions. I help individuals achieve their maximum potential through a holistic hierarchy of needs foundational approach, that also analyzes one’s individual and complex story. Together, we can identify what’s working and not working to gain balance, purpose, fulfillment, and happiness. We’ll look at the big picture and analyze the small details as needed, for a whole body, mind, and soul healing. Seeking therapy can feel a little weird and scary, but you are making the right choice to move forward and grow. Our sessions will be true to what you need and what you would like to overcome. I am a safe place, and you are worth it.
My biggest strength is adaptability and knowing when to take the lead and when to listen. I am a natural born mediator, who specializes in family and marriage counseling, substance abuse counseling, grief counseling, trauma processing, and life coaching for both children and adults. I am highly empathetic and warm as well as honest and sincere.
My name is Minette Conner, I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor and Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, with over 13 years of experience both inpatient and outpatient settings. I serve clients aged between 5 years old and 85 years old. I assess and apply evidence-based clinical practices to each of my clients on an individualized case by case basis. My approach is person centered and integrative. I match evidence-based treatment with each client's particular concern or concerns through first understanding the individual's personality traits, preferences, needs, spiritual beliefs, openness, and motivation level. These factors, along with the client's health and age, help me to use my clinical judgement to decide on a treatment approach with the highest likelihood of success.

I have extensive experience in assessing and developing solutions to maladaptive patterns of the brain. My strategies are active, solution- focused, and collaborative.
I am certified and trained in diverse trauma informed care strategies that are all built on the principles of safety, choice, collaboration, trust, and empowerment.
My treatment methods are individualized and complex. Everyone is unique and their healing process is as well. I use a variety of methods to assess and treat a variety of mental health concerns with the following approaches: • Cognitive and behavioral therapies-Sessions tend to be structured, with an engaged and goal-oriented approach. Providers may sometimes assign work for you to complete outside of session. • Insight-oriented therapies-Sessions focus on helping you develop insight and understanding about how past experiences and conflicts can affect current behavior. • Trauma-focused therapies-Sessions focus on confronting and processing trauma. Providers may focus on behavioral techniques including exposure and desensitization, or on approaches that impact trauma-related stress responses in the body. • Humanistic therapies-Sessions focus on creating safe, accepting, non-judgmental and self-led explorative spaces in which you can better understand who you are, unlock your potential, and break unhelpful old patterns of behavior. • Mindfulness-based therapiesSessions combine elements of other cognitive and behavioral therapies with mindfulness practices and meditation. • Body-focused therapiesSessions focus on developing awareness of the body and its sensations in order to better understand how emotions and trauma are stored within it, and may involve activities that focus on reducing the intensity of symptoms and enhance emotional regulation.
I do not identify with one therapeutic technique. I have a plethora of knowledge based approaches and experience that enables me to assess a client, their personality, symptoms, and apply the BEST therapeutic technique and treatment that is adapted and built around them for optimum success. - I have a high success rate : )
"The body keeps the score" Our mind, body, and brain all play a part in working together to keep us functioning a peak performance. My approach is to ALWAYS take this into account and I have had many positive transformative outcomes.

Minette has been a great therapist for anxiety and grief related issues. She is a great combination of direct and empathetic and helps use known tools and methods to teach coping and processing skills that have really helped improve my anxiety. She also is a good listener and helps redirect thoughts and opinions in a way that allows me to see it myself in a better way. I would definitely reccomend her to anyone looking for a new therapist.

I very much like that she's assertive enough to direct the conversation and ask very thought provoking questions. This is helping me examine things from a point of view that I hadn't considered in many instances. We are starting to get at what I feel is the root basis for my self confidence issues, which I have desperately wanted to explore for a long time.
