Greetings! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fayetteville State University and my Graduate Certificate in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. It has been my greatest pleasure to continue serving my country and community as a counselor for the past three years after eight years of service in the U.S. Army. In my professional work experience, I have had the wonderful opportunity to witness the transformative power of embracing the perfect love of Jesus Christ while supporting my clients in navigating challenges related to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and other life obstacles. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will focus on getting familiar with the counseling process. We will spend time getting to know each other, understanding the challenges that brought you here, and discussing treatment guidelines. Before scheduling follow-up sessions, we will work together to create a plan for how we can work as a team to help you reach your treatment goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a passion for helping others thrive, which is reflected in the compassion I show to those I serve. I also have a unique ability to facilitate a non-judgmental and safe space where my clients can feel heard, respected, and accepted as they navigate the challenges they experience.

My treatment methods

Integrative

An individual’s physical, mental, social, and spiritual health are all interconnected and influence each other. Therefore, my therapeutic approach is clinically flexible, holistic, and integrative. It is a form of psychotherapy that combines biblical and spiritual principles with evidence-based therapeutic approaches that align with biblical truth. This combination of psychology, theology, and spirituality empowers my clients to bring their complete selves to counseling, allowing them to explore how they can use their unique strengths and personal faith-based values and practices to support them in reaching their goals. My approach emphasizes recognizing, understanding, and modifying problematic thoughts and behaviors that contribute to spiritual, psychological, physical, and social distress. The decision to incorporate faith-based values and practices in treatment varies among clients, so I always fully support and respect clients in making an informed decision on this matter, regardless of their personal beliefs or background.
