Hello! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2014 and have been practicing for 10+ years. I specialize in assisting adults dealing with issues related to trauma, women's issues, anxiety, grief, and relationships; Together we can work to put you on a path to feel empowered to tackle anything that comes your way!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first intake session, I typically go over the limits of confidentiality, explain the therapy process, gather more information about what your therapy goals are/what brought you to seek therapy, and offer you a chance to ask me any questions. Once I have all this information, then we will decide together what issue(s) to address first in subsequent sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel that my greatest strengths as a therapist are the years of experience that I bring, my nonjudgmental approach, and that I offer my clients a safe place to express themselves freely. I also pride myself in knowing that each client is uniquely different so the combination of therapy techniques I use will be tailored to best suit every individual.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR is my main treatment modality for clients that have experienced trauma, complex trauma, or a history of anxiety and depressive symptoms. I like to combine EMDR with CBT and Person-Centered Therapy to assist with long-standing issues that have not improved with traditional therapy.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize a Person-Centered Therapy approach often, as I believe that each client knows what is best for them. Every person's lived experience is different and I can help with navigating the intricacies, to help you understand yourself better and what things you might need to adjust to get the outcomes you desire.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I weave in a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into my sessions by challenging clients to adjust a behavior or assigning a challenge to do in between sessions that goes along with the client's goals. Most of the work is done outside of sessions after all!
