I'm Kiandra Harry, a licensed professional counselor and I approach therapy in an inviting and validating way, as you are the expert in your life. I have a Bachelors in Psychology, Master's in Counseling and I am currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I'm a solution focused therapist that will help you find healthy solutions to solving your issues and concerns and live your life on your terms.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

It's important to me that you feel confident about the good, bad or indifferences about your life and stand tall in your achievements and mistakes to maintain a balanced state of happiness rather than toxic levels of positivity. Life will always life, but having the appropriate tools to deal with ups and downs can help you live happy and healthy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With over 8 years working with families and currently pursuing doctoral education in working with couples and families, I have a gained extensive knowledge on the science based and research proven methodologies of working with clients of interest. It's important to me that the therapeutic space remain open, warm, affirming and accountable. These measures help to remind clients they are the experts in their lives and have the capability of growing, healing and creating happy healthy lives.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I provide an affirming environment that allows the client to take responsibility for their part in experiences and analyze the role that others played in order to heal, grow and live in the narratives they wish to live by, as the experts in their own lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is beneficial in helping the client achieve the ability to reframe their thoughts such as negative self talk, pessimism or negative vantage points of experiences and their general life experiences.
