New clients continue care with this provider

Hi there! My name is Natalie, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in the mental health field for 12 years. I would say my strong suit is working with clients dealing with: mens Issues, military populations, prenatal/postpartum depression and anxiety, low self- esteem, and social anxiety. My passion is working with people going through their toughest moments and watching them transform into the best version of themselves in the process. I really believe that each client deserves individualized treatment, not just a "cookie cutter" approach. I take my time building trust with my clients so they feel safe to be vulnerable in sessions with me. My ultimate goal is to create an environment where healing can happen.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, I’m really just there to build trust with you and really listen. I don’t want you to feel rushed or obligated to tell me everything if you’re not feeling open to that yet. I may ask you clarifying questions as you go through a brief history of your current issues. Overall, I’m there to help you feel safe and comfortable as possible.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are creating a calm enviornment that makes clients feel safe. I feel that I am very "disarming" as a person and my approach is warm and kind. Once I get to know my clients, I do have a more direct approach built with many of layers of trust behind it. A lot of my clients came to me because they’ve had counseling before and saw no improvement despite following the recommendations. If you are looking for a therapist that is trustworthy, authentic, but keeps you accountable all while having a sense of humor: then reach out. Additionally, my client populations tend to be men who struggle with anger, avoidance, or feeling cautious of going to therapy. For women, it’s typically those who are dealing with low self esteem, trauma, and fear during peri/postnatal periods. Although I do see a wide variety of clients, these are my strong suits.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

People experiencing Low self-confidence, Attachment issues, passive/aggressive communication, Mens issues, and Women perinatal/postpartum.

My treatment methods

Faith based therapy

I am a Christian and I have an understanding of the values that clients may have with their faith and how to incorporate that into treatment as long as clients give permission to do so. I see clients of all backgrounds and faiths or lack there-of.

Strength-Based

Through values work clients can identify their strengths and how to life a life they’re confident and proud of.

Narrative

I’ve guided clients with trauma through this treatment and it especially helpful for those who express themselves by journaling and writing.

Attachment-based

I utilize attachment theory by working together with clients regarding issues they may be having with self-confidence or any relationship with others. Attachment therapy helps clients identify unhealthy relationship patterns in order to move forward with healthy patterns in all of their relationships. This is done through psychoeducation education and various types of assignments that fit clients learning style.
