I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and am licensed in Indiana as a Psychologist with a Health Service Provider in Psychology Endorsement. I've been doing psychotherapy for several decades. I work with a diverse group of men and women aged 18 and up. All gender identities and cultural identities are welcome. I am experienced and comfortable with anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, personality issues, cognitive difficulties, and substance abuse. My approach to therapy varies from client to client. I typically ask the client within the first one or two sessions what their goals for therapy are. These are always subject to change by the client. When you're ready to leave the stress and discomfort you are feeling behind, I'm prepared to help you. Schedule our first session and get you on the road to making the changes you want to see in your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The initial session is a mutual interview, where I learn about you as a person and you learn about me as a therapist. I will typically ask if you already have goals for therapy. If you haven't, that's not a problem. It's simply an issue for us to explore what changes you would like to make in your life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My decades of experience as a therapist with a wide variety of people is my ability to understand what you are experiencing and what changes you want to see in your life.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

My therapeutic approach is client-centered. For me, that means I use whatever combination of theoretical approaches to therapy I think will be the most useful in providing the client with the tools to make the changes in their life that they want to see. I create a safe and welcoming environment where the client feels safe to express whatever ideas and emotions they wish to. Where they feel free to be exactly who they are without pretense.

Eclectic

I am experienced in most theoretical approaches to psychotherapy. I use whatever combination of theoretical orientation and technique in my judgment is most likely to help the client make the changes they want to see in their life.
