What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will spend time getting to know one another, I will gather history of symptoms and behaviors, as well as past history so I have a better understanding of you and all factors that may be affecting you at this time. This will allow us both to then determine how to tailor your treatment to you and your needs, as well as what I recommend. We will then create a plan for following sessions.

I have extensive experience and training working with Personality Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, grief, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I am certified in DBT.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have been using DBT (both individually and group) with client's for over 4 years and have been certified in DBT for over a year. I have found this to be highly effective for those with emotional dysregulation and/or interpersonal difficulties.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have found ACT to be highly beneficial for clients with depression and anxiety and the feeling that they are not living the life they want or feel lost and out of line with their values and goals.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is effective in challenging and changing negative thinking patterns and negative core beliefs that can stem from trauma.
