My name is Sarah Shaw, Licensed Professional Counselor. I truly enjoy working with my clients in helping them through some very tough issues. My greatest reward is when my clients discover their power and truly own it. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, singles, couples, grief, and anyone who needs assistance navigating our everyday lives. Let’s get started towards healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My clients can expect to get a listening ear on not only what’s being expressed, but the underlying message of what’s not being expressed. We go straight to the problem and then work our way to the root of the problem. My clients can expect to gain tools in dealing with issues so when they’re presented in the future, they’re better equipped to handle same.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I listen to my client and help them to walk through every layer of the issue. I don’t believe in solving the problem for my clients, but rather helping them through so they can get to the crux of the problem and thereby resolve same.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with the following: adults, adolescents, children, couples, singles, and anyone ready to navigate tough issues which life deals us.

My treatment methods

Reality Therapy

This modality assist clients with getting to the foundational cause of the issue(s) which are negative affecting your life.

Couples Counseling

I truly enjoy working with couples. Sometimes individuals need to see and hear another perspective (neutral) and apply same into their marriage.

Christian Counseling

Christian counseling is very important to me, however I utilize when requested.

Family Therapy

Having been a part of a blended family as the bonus mom has truly given me a perspective that other therapists do not have unless they've been through it personally. When our family had issues and I reached out to a therapist, I realized very quickly that no one truly understood the varying dynamics of our family's issues because they simply could not relate to all the intricacies of the varying emotions involved.
