Hey, I’m Brittany! Do you feel anxiety, grief, or unsure by life changes and transitions? Are you struggling in relationships with your spouse, friends, or family? Do you find it difficult to set boundaries or use assertive communication? I help individuals manage symptoms of anxiety, grief, and depression caused by life transitions. Together, we can identify strengths you already have as an individual to help navigate these life changes and develop effective coping skills. In addition, I assist individuals with relational issues. Relationships are a huge part of our lives, so learning how to effectively communicate and set boundaries can help take our relationships to the next level. Throughout our sessions, I take a person-centered and holistic approach to mental health. We will incorporate mindfulness in addition to coping skills that best work for you! I understand starting therapy can be scary. I’ll meet you where you are emotionally with compassion and utilize evidence-based techniques to help you reach your goals!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will cover a variety of topics. We will talk about what brings you in for therapy, symptoms you've been experiencing, family relationships and dynamics, as well as establish goals. This information will ensure we are able to put together a treatment plan to help you reach your goals!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths as a clinician are assisting clients in identifying and challenging unhealthy thought patterns, managing emotions, and building communication skills. I have put together some helpful resources to assist clients in tackling those issues. In addition, I have completed Level II Gottman Method to expand my knowledge on communication and conflict resolution skills.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is effective in helping client overcoming negative thinking. I also have worksheets and exercises we can use in session to help you learn how to reframe your negative thought patterns!

Supportive

As we go through different transitions in life, sometimes we need support. While using supportive therapy, your feelings will be validated while also assisting you through whatever you may be going through. Life is tough and you shouldn't have to go through life alone.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based therapy to expand your coping skills. These skills may include meditation, relaxation techniques, and even how to reframe your thought back to the here-and-now.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFT is a great way to assess where you are and where you want to be. This approach is a brief treatment to help you get where you want to be!
