Do you experience challenges with anxiety, sleep, or attention? I specialize in psychiatric treatment for ADHD, anxiety and sleep. Go beyond feeling better, to getting better. I work with motivated individuals to achieve lasting, sustainable change utilizing a fusion of psychotherapy, lifestyle change, technology, and neuropharmacology. As each patient is unique with their own personal experience, background and goals, I develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions to achieve the best possible outcomes. My initial interest in healthcare started in junior high during a career day when the nurse practitioners described themselves as the happiest and most satisfied of the professions. Growing up in the Midwest, I dreamed of seeing the coasts. I attended Yale University in Connecticut graduating with dual-specialties in psychiatry and medicine. Then I moved to California and began practicing outpatient, inpatient and emergency medicine and psychiatry. Wanting to make systemic change, I attended Stanford Law school and learned I found more satisfaction in patient care than legal briefs. My career expanded where I now serve as a legal medical expert, adjunct professor, and deputy medical director for an integrated health organization. I maintain a boutique clinical practice treating patients motivated to grow and flourish utilizing the best available treatments. (I do not see patients for therapy only.)

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is about ensuring we are a good therapeutic match. We will prioritize exploring the concerns bringing you to treatment and your goals for your care ensuring you are confidant I understand the issue. Some providers may jump into treatment without fully understanding each patient's needs, priorities, and preferences. We'll take the time to explore your history, clarify the present and customize a plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some patients are coming to treatment for the first time. I provide education and answer questions on diagnoses, clinical recommendations and treatment options. For those experienced with treatment who may have had inadequate results, I use my expertise in the following areas to achieve breakthroughs where past treatments have failed. managing and overcoming anxiety, attention/distractibility, sleep difficulties, mood and trauma, I limit my practice to the specific conditions where I've become an expert to provide the best results. I don't treat personality disorders, substance use, cognitive disorders like dementia, or complete disability/FMLA paperwork. My entire practice is focused on helping you achieve success, joy, peace and contentment with yourself, your work and your home.
