About me

It's not uncommon to feel overwhelmed when you begin your search for a new therapist. Congratulations on taking the first step! Feeling the pressures of everyday life, struggling with ‘imposter syndrome,’ flooded with thoughts that you’re not meeting your own expectations (or someone else’s)? These are just a few of the areas I commonly support clients with. I regularly work with young adults and professionals coping with recent life changes and/or stressors that are impacting their ability to: concentrate, engage with others or maintain meaningful relationships or manage their emotional state. When a person is ready, I assist them in exploring and identifying their strengths, and the skills they can apply to their current stressors while introducing healthier coping skills to trial.  Since obtaining my license in New York as an LMHC ten years ago, I have been supporting clients struggling with stress and anxiety symptoms, coping with substance use struggles, relationship issues, and trauma and abuse. I am a certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), as well as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. I recognize that individuals struggling with their substance use or to manage their ADHD symptoms face a unique set of obstacles when looking for support.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I regularly work with adults and professionals coping with recent life changes and/or stressors that are impacting their ability to: concentrate, engage with others or maintain meaningful relationships, or manage their emotional state. When a person is ready, I assist them in exploring and identifying their strengths, and the skills they can apply to their current stressors while introducing healthier coping skills to trial.  Through this process the goal is for the individual to gain a greater understanding of their stressors and triggers, while learning effective skills they can use outside of sessions.  With the ultimate goal of developing a broader range of coping skills to use, a greater sense of self-confidence and self-reported improvement in overall quality of life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What to expect from me: I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
