You deserve to be the best functioning version of you. Navigate the journey to courage while feeling empowered and supported working through animal assisted psychotherapy, play therapy, and expressive art therapy. I specialize in working individuals ages four through adulthood working through a variety of issues including adoption/foster care, parenting issues, self-regulation/dysregulatory concerns, ADHD in children and adult women, attachment issues, anxiety, and trauma. I work from a strength based, primarily person-centered perspective with CBT, DBT, and Polyvagal Theory infusion. I also provide ADHD and executive function coaching services, ADHD assessment. Therapeutic services can look different for each person because we all walk different paths. That being said - our goals are all the same - to be the best functioning individual we can - whatever that looks like to us. I can’t wait to walk alongside you in your journey and show you what I know you’re capable of.
Acceptance, non-judgement, empathy, unconditional support - these are a few pieces that must exist in the dynamic between the client and therapist. You can expect to be offered all of the above and more as I guide you and empower you to discover and understand the brilliant parts of yourself. We will work together at your pace to uncover, explore, and empower you to be your best self and learn various coping strategies that work best for you.
I am a strength-based, client-centered therapist working from a trauma-informed lens. I love utilizing creativity and holistic approaches to therapy - giving various ways to explore and communicate other than talking. I use expressive art therapy, gaming in therapy, and equine (and animal) assisted psychotherapy as a few approaches to exploration and expression.
I am able to think outside the box which enables me to work with you collaboratively to come up with what works best for you. I will walk alongside you and support you in discovering your strengths that I know already exist.
