Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges. I currently hold a license in both Georgia and Florida. I received my Masters from Western Kentucky University and have been practicing ever since to help clients, with anxiety, depression and addictive disorders, make positive changes to increase their happiness and heal.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I understand that therapy can be very intimidating, but I will insure you are comfortable by providing active listening and empathy. In our first session, we will get to know each other and discuss goals for treatment. I will ask you many questions and give you the opportunity to ask me questions as well. It is very important for me to understand your needs, so I can ensure that you receive the treatment works best for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been told my numerous clients that I am easy to talk to. I am a genuine person who is open-minded and nonjudgmental. I want to help you on your journey of personal growth by highlighting your individual strengths and helping you achieve your goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a short-term therapy that helps us focus on current problems and find solutions. CBT will help you recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a mental health treatment technique. This method involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories. EMDR’s goal is to help you heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences

Motivational Interviewing

I have used Motivational Interviewing in my practice for years. It's a technique that helps unlock your motivation and commitment to change by resolving any ambivalent feelings that are holding you back.

Supportive

Supportive therapy is a type of psychotherapy that provides emotional support, encouragement, and validation during difficult challenges. This therapy will help increase your ability to cope with life stressors while helping to regulate negative thinking.
